La distribution des guides opérationnels sur l’aménagement forestier et la formation des agents de la coordination de l’environnement et autres acteurs, c’est le thème d’une formation qui se tient depuis ce mardi 23 juillet 2024 à l’hôtel Joli Rêve.
Une trentaine d’agents de la coordination provinciale de l’environnement Tshopo, des acteurs de la société civile et chefs coutumiers participe à cette formation de 5 jours, organisée par l’antenne provinciale du programme de gestion durable des forêts Pgdf.
Ce programme créé au mois de mars 2024 par le ministre national de l’environnement et développement durable vient en appui financier et technique à l’administration forestière.
Dans ces assisses, l’antenne provinciale du Pgdf vulgarise les 25 guides opérationnels de l’arrêté ministériel fixant les procédures d’élaboration, d’approbation et de mise en œuvre des plans d’aménagement des concessions forestières de production de bois d’œuvre.
Un outil indispensable pour la gestion de la forêt, déclare l’ingénieur Mecca Kametu, chef d’antenne à l’intérim du programme de gestion durable de forêts ici dans la Tshopo.
A l’issu de la formation, ces guides seront distribués aux participants.
Il faut dire que ce nouveau programme est jusque là, implanté dans les provinces de Mai- Ndombe, Équateur, Mangala, Ituri et Tshopo.
L’objectif global de ce programme est de créer les conditions d’une gestion plus durable des forêts en RDC en agissant à travers six composantes thématiques qui sont la gouvernance, politique et réglementation, secteur artisanal de la filière forêt/bois, gestion des forêts communautaire et des entités territoriales décentralisées, gestion des concessions industrielles et de conservation, enfin, renforcement des capacités.
